THE ROLE OF RELATIONSHIP MARKETING ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION FOR SELECTED SALONS IN BUEA
Abstract
This study was conducted to explain the role of relationship marketing on customer satisfaction for selected salons in Buea. In this light, the objectives of the study are as follows: To investigate the relationship between customer retention and customer satisfaction, to investigate how service quality contribute to customer satisfaction, to investigate how service performance influence customer satisfaction.
More to that, to establish more information on this subject matter, a review of literature was conducted. The Expectancy Disconfirmation Paradigm by Oliver implies that, consumers purchase goods and services with pre-purchase expectations about anticipated performance. The target population of this study consisted of 100 respondents of both male and female participants who visit salons in the Buea municipality.
This study was exploratory in nature consisting of a well structured questionnaire with close ended questions using a likert scale approach.
Regression analysis and frequency tables were used to analyse the data. For the first objective, it was found out that, customer retention has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction for salons in Buea, for the second objective, service quality also has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction for salons in Buea and lastly, the third objective proved that service performance has a positive and significant effect on customer’s satisfaction for selected salons in Buea.
The regression analysis revealed that there is a positive and significant effect on the role of relationship marketing on customer satisfaction for selected salons in Buea.
