THE ROLE OF FINANCIAL INNOVATION ON THE FINANCIAL INCLUSION OF MFI IN CAMEROON
Abstract
Financial inclusion is a critical component of all-inclusive social, political, and economic development in any country. Financial inclusion enthusiasts are encouraged by the success of microfinance. At the same time they see that many microfinance schemes lack the scale to reach the majority of poor people.
For this the study seeked to identify the role of financial innovation on the financial inclusion of micro finance institutions in Cameroon Case of La Regionale.
The research made uses of automated teller machines and mobile money transactions to capture and explain the role of financial innovation on financial inclusion and to attain the objective the variable was divided the Financial innovation into internal and external Financial innovation The research adopted a quantitative research design and had primary data as a source of data collection which made used of structured questionnaire.
The results were explained in terms of descriptive and inferential statistics. From the results, the study concluded that Financial innovation has a significant effect on the Financial Inclusion of La Regionale.
