INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of Studies
Migration is the movement of people from one geographical area to another and migration can be national or international. National migration is the movement of people from one area t another but within the same country for example, the movement from Buea to Yaounde which is in the same country but different region or the movement from Meme to Kumba, but in the same region but different geographical area. While international migration is the movement of people across boarders, that is , from one country to another for example, the movement from Cameroon to America.
Migration is in two processes and is called Emigration and Immigration process. Emigration if when people are moving out of a town or a country, while Immigration is the receiving town or country. For example, leaving a country to another country, there is an emigration office that you have to go to for certain documents to be made so that as Immigrant in an other country there will be no problem that might send you to jail, on the point that you illegally get yourself in another country and the country you are in.
However, migration has different forms for example, Urban-urban migration which is the movement of a person or people from one town to another town or city, Rural-Urban migration which is the movement from the town or city to the village, there is also Rural Exodus which is the movement from one village to another village.
Migration however can be permanent or temporal depending on the individual. When they talk f permanent, it means you move from the area which you are to another area or region with the intension of not coming back to that region, and s when moving, you go with all your belongings and can even sell or give to friends and relatives those things you can not carry along, while temporal migration is, you move from one area to another in a short time and come back to your original area, for example temporal migration might be n a daily base for some body working far away from his/her home town goes and come back everyday or the person like in his /her area of work but come back to his home town every weekend.
Furthermore, there are two man causes of migration which is the pull and push factors are those things that attract one in to a town or a county for constant. Job opportunity , schools (education), good communication network, and a good scientific and technological advancement while push factors are those reasons that causes people to move out f a town or country for example, lack of higher education, lack of job opportunities and poor communication network.
