BRAND LOYALTY DETERMINANTS AMONG MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATION CONSUMERS IN BUEA
Abstract
The problem of the study was, that despite the availability of information about telecommunication companies and their services, consumers stick to specific telecommunication brands due to brand loyalty even when their services and products are not favourable.
And the main objective of this study was to examine the level of brand loyalty among mobile telecommunication consumers of Orange Cameroun and Mobile Telecommunication Network (MTN) in Buea. The quantitative research design was adopted for the study.
The primary data were obtained through questionnaires as an instrument and using convenience sampling technique, a total of 375 copies of questionnaires were administered and retrieved for data analysis. Four hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance and the data for the study were analyzed using tables, frequency, percentage and Pearson Correlation.
The findings of the study revealed that perceived value, brand trust, consumer satisfaction, have significant relationship with brand loyalty and there is a high level of brand loyalty among subscribers of mobile telecommunication services in Buea.
Based on this, it was recommended among others that mobile telecommunication service providers ensure continuous improvement in service quality to attract subscribers’ interest in their network service.
