THE PERCEPTION OF TEACHERS IN IMPROVING ACHIEVEMENT IN RURAL SCHOOLS WITHIN THE LIMBE MUNICIPALITY
Abstract
This study, examine the perception of teachers in improving students achievement within the limbe municipality. It seeks to examine what the teacher perceived about the school climate domain of safety in improving students achievement, also what is the perception of rural high school teachers about their role and the role of rural high schools in improving students achievement and finally the current perception among rural high school teachers the effects that poverty has in improving students achievement in Limbe municipality. In applying this method, a quantitative approach was adopted.
Primary, Secondary and Tertiary sources where consulted. Primary sources included an inventory of informants, secondary sources also included published and unpublished work and finally tertiary sources included internet documentaries.
This study has clearly brought out some accept like what is the perception of teachers in improving student achievement in rural schools and also the current perception among high teachers regarding the effects that poverty has in improving student achievement within the Limbe municipality.
