THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL INFLUENCERS ON TOURIST BEHAVIOUR
Abstract
A big employer and a considerable supplier of foreign cash at any national level, tourism is a large industry in the globe today, notably in the service sector globally. Social influencers have provided the tourism sector with a great deal of attention and appeal in recent years, bringing throngs of travelers to numerous well-known sites.
By doing this, the influencers have a way to affect how tourists behave in their nation; as a result, a study is being conducted to examine the impact of social media influencers on tourist behavior using specific variables like SMI trustworthiness, likability, and expertise and how they affect tourists’ behavior.
The study adopts a survey research design and a total of 50 respondents were selected for the study using purposive sampling technique. Questionnaire was used to collect primary data. Data collected was from primary and secondary sources. The statistical tool used in the research study was multiple regression analysis.
The results show that mobile money technology, network stability, and the availability of float all significantly affect MTN’s performance. Instead of concentrating on expanding access to mobile money technology, the report advises MTN to educate the public about how it works and its value.
