CLIENT SERVER NETWORK USING PACKET TRACKER STIMULATOR
Abstract
“Enterprise Network is based on the Objectives teamed in CCNA. It has required that the plan and implement a Secure network System.
In this project we use the DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol) server, EIGRP (Enhance interior gateway protocol), FTP (File transfer protocol), HTTP (Hypertext transfer protocol) etc. In this project we are transferring and accessing packet from client to different servers securely.
This project is implemented on “CISCO PACKET TRACER”.
It is also helpful to make easy task. It’s also containing PC’S, Routers, Switches, and different types of cables for the reliable connection. In this project solve the security problem which occurs in the organization.
The “Enterprise Network” dynamic routing is used and some protocols also that is (EIGRP. OSPF, RIPV2). Where dynamic routing is less time Consuming as compare Static routing It also checks the unauthorized traffic that travels across the network.
The main purpose of the “Client network” is to allow the sending and receiving message from the client to the server and back on a network of the companies to retrieve or store their information.
CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
1.1 Motivation
Computer networks have been extremely important in our present-day society. Most companies depend on the proper functioning of their networks for communications, administration, automation, e-business solutions etc. The local Area Network (LAN) is the most basic and important computer network owned by individual companies and could be used for interconnection with wide area networks.
A LAN permits effective cost sharing of high-value data processing equipment such as mass storage media, mainframe computer or minicomputers, and high-speed printers. Resources sharing a probably equally important where a LAN serves as the access vehicle for an intranet or the internet. In view of this, system manages need professional tools to help them with the design and maintenance of LANs.
1.2 Problem Definition
A simulation tool offers a way to predict the impact on the network of a hardware upgrade, a change in topology, an increase in traffic load or the use of a new application. So, in this work, a LAN network is designed using “CISCO PACKET TRACER”. The work describes how the tool can be used to develop a simulation model of the LAN for the University of Buea.
The study provides an insight into various concepts such as topology design, IP address configuration and how to send information in form of packets in a single network and the use of Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) to separate the traffic generated by different departments.
1.3 Objective
Cisco Packet Tracer is also used by professional network Administrators for testing network changes. Before changing a network, the user can try out new topology changes to see if everything works correctly. If there aren’t any hiccups, then the changes can be deployed in a live network.
The objective of this “Design and implementation of a Enterprise Network Using Packet
Tracer” project is: –
- To study topology
- To design topology of college department system
- To study of network IP, IP address, subnetting
- To study of routers, switches, PC and IOT To connecting switch.
- To connecting routers.
- To configuring routers.
- To configuring PCs.
- To connecting routers, switch, PC.
To simulate how to send information in form of packets in a single network and the use of virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) to separate the traffic generated by different departments.
