It is believed when there is equality between men and women working under the same platform it will lead to better outcome in terms of workplace performance.
The research study is based on the effect of gender issues on workplace performance. This problem of gender issues is being seen in the developing countries. This effect of gender issues can lead to increase labour turnover thereby by giving a negative impact on one’s happiness and health. Also, it can lead to sexual harassment.
And with this sexual harassment some might be reluctant to complain since they might feel that their complaints will not be taken seriously. Also, the harmful effect of gender issues on workplace performance might lead to bad reputation thereby increasing public allegations of gender discrimination that can hurt the brand image of a company as well as its stock price.

There has been a disparity between men and women where women are considered as the inferior beings and that they can better perform well when it comes to taking care of the house and giving birth to children.
Some of the situations apply in Cameroon where men are given top-job positions and women staying at the bottom of the organization, this problem of gender issues face in the workplace are gradually becoming eradicated as seen with the coming of new organizations.
Despite the increasing sensitization and awareness of these ills on development, women’s participation in workplace performance still seems to be low (Atanga, 2010), hence organizational leadership as men seems to dominate women in performance. Just as some report on gender diversity, some workplace in Africa reveals women participation in terms of leadership ranges from 10% to 52% and less than 1 in 10 of their senior leaders are women (Onaloja, 2015)..
