THE IMPACT OF LEADERSHIP STYLE ON EMPLOYEES’ PERFORMANCE IN PARLIAMENTARIAN FLAT HOTEL BUEA
Abstract
The hospitality industry has been the heart of leisure in Cameroon and Buea in in particular. There has been a problem between management and employees in the context of leadership style, this has brought a big problem in the 21-century management.
Based on past research and their finding the is still a gap on looking at the effect of leadership styles on employees performance and for this study this study was carried out .This study was carried out in Parliamentarian flats hotel in Buea which is one of the biggest hotels in Buea in terms of staffs .
The chapter one of this study looked at back grown of the study and the problem statement ,a questionnaire was issued to employees of parliamentarian plats with a number of despondence of 50 and data was analysed through correlation analysis.
After data was analyse, the conclusion was that Conclusively, based on the findings, we can reject H1 and accept H2 and H3 because autocratic leadership, democratic and laissez faire leadership has a positive effect on employees performance.
Considering the three variables used in the study, it was seen that laissez-faire leadership style has a positive and insignificant effect on organizational performance implying that laissez-faire is a determinant of the leadership styles that influence employee performance.
